4 WAYS YOU CAN GET ULTRA FIT

Being able to say you’re “ultra-fit” is all about investing in your health and prioritizing taking care of yourself. Here’s a quick-reference guide to check your habits, or jumpstart new ones.

1. EXERCISE
Aim for at least 30minutes a day, 5 days a week of moderate exercise in order to keep your health high. If you live in a place where gyms are still closed or find yourself lacking in motivation, try something new. Find free workout videos on YouTube, get outdoors to hike with a friend, or set a new goal for yourself like running 20 miles by the end of the month. Changing up how you work out can help keep you interested and work new muscles in your body.

2. DIET
How we fuel our bodies is the most important aspect of being healthy and fit. Limit your consumption of processed and refined foods. Increase your consumption of vegetables (especially leafy, green ones) and plants. Be sure to get enough lean protein (07.-1.2g per pound of bodyweight is a moderate range) and limit caffeine and alcohol whenever possible.

3. SLEEP
The amount of sleep you get each night is tied to your weight. Science has proven sleep can increase or impede weight loss. Getting proper sleep also increases your energy and good mood. If you’re struggling to get a solid night of sleep, wear earplugs or turn on a white noise machine, wear a face mask to eliminate unwanted light, and stop looking at screens at least a half-hour before bed.

4. MENTAL HEALTH
Taking the time to care of your mental health is just as important as taking the time to care for your body. Studies have shown that proper diet and exercise can have as much benefits on the mind as an antidepressant. Take time to feed your mind through mediation, journaling, affirmations, reading, or indulging in a loved hobby.
